PASTOR ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREARMS
UMINGAN, Pangasinan: Authorities arrested a pastor during a raid on his house on early Thursday where they seized a number of ammunitions. Umingan Police, together with PPSC and Regional Special Operations Task Group (Rsotg), raided the pastor’s house exactly 6 a.m. on Thursday with a search warrant at hand issued by Judge Emma Ines-Paragas of Regional Trial Court Branch 52. A certain Fr. Glenon Guimbal of the Ancient Church of the East based in Barangay Flores was taken in Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) in Tayug, together with the ammunitions after the raid. Among the confiscated were 50 pieces live ammunition of 9mm and .45 pistol, a whole 9mm magazine, 41 9mm empty shells and nine ammunition for .38 caliber pistol. Guimbal said that the ammunitions in his care were already sold to a friend and that the ammunitions were licensed.
